TrustRadius Rated 10/10Easy Setup and Great Price by Industry Giants
We use Moz for some of our accounts for SEO purposes. Moz is a one-stop shop in setting up your clients' listings. It's very easy out of the box, works quick, and is great for the price--under $200 for SEO for the year is great. The cheapest you can get out of Yext is about $400. So we like Moz for smaller clients that don't have a big budget for SEO. Pros: Been around in the business for years; Very easy to use dashboard; Fast onboarding for a new client; Leaders in the SEO space Cons: Maybe remind people when their renewal is coming up (most don't do this well).

TrustRadius Rated 9/10For keyword tracking enthusiasts, Moz is your affordable, easy-to-use platform!
I use Moz primarily for target keyword tracking, inbound link tracking, and SERP feature tracking—it's primarily in the SEO realm where I use this tool. Some clients absolutely demand to have keyword rank tracking a part of their SEO strategy, and for these clients, MOZ makes such tracking very simple. If nothing else, I can just download a .csv of the latest ranks and toss them into a reporting doc. Pros: Keyword rank tracking is on-point. You can easily tag on competitors and get ranks for them as well, which rules.; Moz has a great section for links—I especially use the Discovered and Lost reporting, which lists new domains linking to your site, and domains that dropped out, plus a DA for each. Clients eat this stuff up.; SERP Features is great as well—this is another thing that clients are thrilled to see: examples of keywords where fun SERP features appear. It's sort of a little thing, but the ease which Moz makes it available is great—the optics on this kind of thing to clients is outstanding. Cons: Some of the auto-gen visual tables aren't all that useful for smaller companies. For instance on the Search Visibility tab, many of my clients have a tiny % of keywords in the top-10, so the table shows basically 4 overlaid flat lines. I wish we had some options to customize this table or expand the range or something.; I wish there were some more tools relating to the technical aspects of the site/pages. The whole tool is very keyword-oriented, which is fine, but I feel like over time this has become and will continue to be less important than technical aspects, site speed, voice search, etc.; There's an Anchor Text tab, but it only looks at Inbound links—I wish this feature was for on-site anchor text—this could be a much better optimization tool. Because there's nothing you can do about inbound link text.

TrustRadius Rated 9/10A Worthy Tool, Worth Your Consideration
We're using Moz in our marketing department to research our website as well as those of our competitors. In addition, we use Moz to analyze traffic to our site via backlinks and various other criteria. At the end of the day, it's one of many tools we use to help manage our online reputation, which isn't the best but certainly improving thanks to the insight Moz provides and the insight-driven action we take. Pros: Backlink analysis - not only can you see every backlink to your site, but the SEO "strength" of the backlinking domain. We realized we had PLENTY of backlinks, but not as many as we'd like from stronger domains. Now, we're targeting stronger domains with relevant content containing links to those domains.; The Moz Bar - A must-have for any Chrome user involved in SEO in any capacity like myself. Just click the little Moz Bar icon and it'll bring up the site's title tag, meta tag, domain authority, page authority, and so much more.; Keyword Explorer - Not unlike many of these SEO sites, Moz has a fairly robust keyword explorer that breaks down the keyword(s) you search into categories like monthly volume, difficulty, similar suggestions and more. What I like is that you can save a set of keywords to your account if you're looking to run a particular campaign. Cons: This is tough as I'm fairly green when it comes to SEO. But, that's what Moz excels at in my experience. If there's something you don't understand or would like to know more about, they have a massive library of helpful content. I do wish the live chat functionality was actually live. They're somewhat quick to respond (>24 hours), but it's always been a gamble as to when I'll actually receive a response to my question.

TrustRadius Rated 10/10Moz - An overall gleaming review from an enterprise agency user
We only use Moz for the day to day activities in the SEO department, but we're slowly beginning to use the data in new ways that is making traction across the company. For example, we export Moz data to create network maps of sites and it's resonating well with other departments like web analytics and strategy. Also, when we do competitive research using Moz Open Site Explorer (OSE), we typically uncover some pretty interesting websites out there that we then share with our global design teams as either what to do, or what not to do. Pros: Moz provides lots of data, all processed and sent back to the end-user fairly quickly. Which is critical for my work since most of my clients are large enterprises with hundreds of thousands of data points (links, pages, etc...), and we generally have quick turnaround periods.; Moz provides a great user-interface that we often take screenshots of and include in client reports (e.g. keyword difficulty visuals). This saves me a ton of time since I can quickly add them instead of having to reformat (or recreate) them on other tools that have visuals that are less attractive and eye-catching.; Moz customer service has always been incredible. I always feel like I'm getting my questions answered from a real person and that they are doing what's in my best interest. One particular time I called with a question on how to use OSE for a particular pitch and the rep saved me a bunch of time by running the reports for me, as well as giving me his thoughts on how to best leverage. Cons: I've always felt that I only know about 10% of what I could possibly really do in Moz. So what would be really helpful is knowing how some other enterprise type users are using the tool. I will say however, that the quick videos on Twitter have been really helpful, as well as the blog posts that really dive into the tool capabilities. Perhaps it's just me being lazy and not proactively learning the tool;); I've always been skeptical of the Moz data that is being pulled in from Google Analytics, since it sometimes doesn't match up with what I see in Google Analytics and is also generally very high-level and not very actionable. Also, would be nice to get Site Catalyst integration.; I'm a little concerned with the Mozcon. This is the first year I didn't purchase the super early bird ticket on the spot at the event because I'm starting to feel it's not the best conference for an advanced SEO looking for specific strategies and tactics that could be applicable to large enterprise SEO practices.

TrustRadius Rated 10/10Moz is the Bozz, er Boss.
I use the ranking reports weekly and have attended one of their Moz Cons. The product is very well rounded and helpful in determining organic site search performance as well as possible problem areas. The on-page optimization grader is not perfect, but gives you some insight. I find the Open Site Explorer link explorer to be one of the most powerful tools available in finding broken internal and external links. I have been using this product since 2007 and have seen it grow into a strong SEO analytics platform. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for weekly SEO performance snapshots and some on-page site issues. Pros: Weekly reporting; Powerful link research tool; Keyword difficulty checker Cons: On-page grader needs some work.; Keyword ranking, if position dropped would be nice to see who shifted up. Then, allow page analysis of competitor page.

TrustRadius Rated 10/10Moz is Amazing to say the least!
We use Moz to keep track of everything related to our website, our clients websites, and to keep track of where our brand mentions are across the web. Our leadership team is the department that uses Moz. I personally use Moz to help me manage my keyword rankings, links, and overall website structure for our website and our client's website. Pros: They give you great detail on your website and tell you where there are problems.; They help you track your brand mentions across the internet.; Help you get social insights; They really do a great job with customer service Cons: You can't talk on the phone with someone there; I wish the reports would run more frequently than once per week; Sometimes the crawl reports that say 24 hours take much longer than 1 day.

TrustRadius Rated 10/10Critical Tool for SEO Professionals
The Digital team uses Moz tools almost daily. We manage SEO, social media and web strategy for our clients. OpenSiteExplorer is one of the best research tools out there for backlink research. FollowerWonk is a new service they acquired which has powerful Twitter analytics. We have also used the Moz API to pull data directly into our own reporting system. Their research tools are very valuable for new business pitches. While not directly related to the Moz platform, they also provide some of the best education in the industry through their blog and MozCon events. Pros: Tracking keyword rankings over time; Tracking backlinks; Educating the community; Analyzing Twitter profiles via FollowerWonk Cons: Only tracks keyword rankings within the top 50 results - would like to see top 100.; The on-page optimization recommendations are spotty because it may grade a page based on the wrong keyword. We don't use this feature much.

I was using SEOmoz alone at my organization. Being the marketing manager for a 5,000 unit property management company, I used it to see how well my website was performing in terms of driving organic traffic from a really wide & large volume of keywords. It really helped address the problem of answering the questions: where does my traffic come from? What queries are they using to find us? Pros: Interface: it is just so easy to use.; Clarity: It presents information in an easy to understand manner.; Robust: I didn't come across an SEO need that it did not meet.; Masterful: it was an incredible learning resource. Cons: I'd like the weekly reports to be more intuitive; I'd like it to recommend actions for specific domains and keywords; I'd like the setup crawl to be faster.

TrustRadius Rated 9/10ROI? Because you empowered your customers to make powerful decisions!
At Thomson FindLaw, I used multiple SEOmoz tools to build a report that showed our customers the opportunities they had in the effectiveness of their law firms website(s). This report become one of the most powerful and effective tools the company ever used to gain new customers. SEOmoz was vital in helping us gather and present complicated data in a digestible manner to an audience that has little to no experience in marketing. Pros: The individual tools are extremely easy to use and understand - by breaking them out individually, it allows users to find very specific data points to use to make decisions. This allows for a deeper and more precise view into the performance of your online marketing vehicles.; The development of the APIs was a huge step in scaling SEOmoz's expertise - this allowed us to build a set of data tools around KPIs that were important to our customers, and allowed the sales team and customers to quickly identify strengths and weaknesses in their digital marketing efforts.; Visual keys - along with the simplicity of use of the tools, the visuals built in allow the story to unfold for an audience that normally would get confused and turn off due to a lack of clarity and understanding of the online behaviors. Cons: After detailing how I like the individuals tools, there are times when I would like to have the option to bundle 2-4 tools and run a single request for a digital property to get that 30,000ft quickly.

TrustRadius Rated 10/10A great tool for agencies and individual businesses
We are an agency that uses Moz Pro to gain insights into our clients' websites. We use it to diagnose technical issues on websites, research keywords to target, analyze competitor websites, analyze backlink profiles, track progress, and more. It's an important tool that is vital in putting together comprehensive SEM strategies for our clients. Pros: Backlink research - the link intersect functionality is particularly useful; Keyword research - much more intuitive and accessible than using the Google predict tool; Site crawls - excellent way to see any technical issues that might be hindering search engine performance Cons: The interface could use a refresh - all tools are in a single dropdown and not all intuitively named.; Some of the features, such as site crawls, give you a limited number of credits per month. You can't purchase individual credits, so you either have to upgrade or wait until the new billing period. The ability to purchase individual credits would be ideal.; The keyword research tool is hit or miss with suggestions. It can be overly broad or too specific, but none of the settings really hits the sweet spot of suggesting relevant terms.

TrustRadius Rated 10/10I love-- a paid subscriber to the MOZ community
We use MOZ to monitor the optimization of our clients' sites. It is actively used by myself and one other inbound marketing professional. It specifically helps me monitor how well our clients' sites are ranking for certain keywords (nationally & locally). It also helps me find new opportunities for terms we could target with our existing content or opportunities for new content. I primarily find myself using Rank Tracker & Keyword Explorer. I'm looking forward to seeing what will be added since the merge with STAT that will help us find new link opportunities. Pros: Keyword Explorer. I use the lists feature, SERP analysis, & suggestions several times per week. The suggestions that are questions is a good starting place for get a sense of what my target audience cares about. Then I'm able to do more targeted research within the SERP itself and come up with a plan for our piece of content.; I think Rank Tracker is really helpful, especially for agencies trying to get a quick sense of how many sites are performing for higher priority terms. All your top terms are on one page, which makes it easy to do a quick, daily check.; MOZ does a really good job at creating an open, no judgement community forum where ideas and concerns can be freely expressed without ridicule or embarrassment. Whether you think you are a beginner or an expert, you are welcome to speak your mind and ask your questions. Their free articles, white papers, vlogs, etc are all really well done resources for any SEO professional. Cons: Link building is not a core strength for MOZ. But I think they've recognized this and found a company (STAT) to join up with to strengthen that area.; I think they've missed how useful Rank Tracker is to a lot of their users. I would like to see them spend some time on the UX of this feature to improve it because the base concept is worthwhile. I started looking into alternate solutions when I heard it was going away--solutions that would have taken my budget away from MOZ. It was a relief to see them roll back their decision to remove its functionality.; I would like to see more capability to be able to track ranking for keyterms for desktop and mobile as separate metrics. I know there is a difference, but I have no definitive insights other than my manual tracking, which for local is not very accurate when I'm trying to promote a site in Portland and am based in the Midwest.

TrustRadius Rated 9/10Moz is a benefit to your marketing arsenal.
Moz was used by the organization by the two E-Commerce directors within the company. It gives great insight to your SEO by providing keyword research, position monitoring, and crawling stats. You are able to track certain keywords and their position so you can aim to improve your rank over time. They also make a great Google Chrome extension that gives you SEO feedback as well. Pros: Keyword Research: Before starting SEO you should always start with an audit and by doing your research. You can trust the MOZ brand to bring you real information regarding keyword research.; Position Monitoring: This was my favorite feature of the program. I love selecting my keywords and watching their position/performance over time. I found many ways to improve and looked forward to checking it each month.; Crawling: Moz pro gives you crawling information to rival Google Analytics. Cons: It's not a super intuitive program. It can be clunky in some areas and while not hard to use, it doesn't flow as well as it could.; It doesn't have a sleek design. The backend and information is upfront but could benefit from a sleeker design to maybe better represent the brand.

TrustRadius Rated 9/10Moz....Simple, Straightforward and Solid
We use Moz for keyword research so that we know how people are searching for us. This helps us know what words to target and what content to create. We also track our where our keywords are ranking. We also create reports to track our progress and report to management what's working and what's not. Pros: Reporting is super easy. Customize reports to suit your specific needs and schedule them to be sent out on the schedule you want.; Keyword research....not only do we monitor our own target keywords, but we use it for competitor research to learn what our competitors are doing well and where they might be falling short.; More keyword research....we use it to prioritize keywords based on volume and difficulty. Cons: It took a while to get the feel of everything. Some items don't seem to be in an intuitive place, in my opinion.

Pros: Keyword selection - helps us choose the best keywords to target; Recommended keywords - sorting & filtering these results by audience reach is really helpful; On-page grading of SEO goes way beyond the basics & helps identify problems & solutions for SEO. Cons: I would love a "click to compare" option for keywords. TrustRadius Rated 9/10SEO for everyone w/Moz
Our company uses Moz as a tool to save time and simplify a number of tasks related to our website and digital presence. These include keyword research, tracking ranking performance, content optimization, & competitor analysis, among others. We've been Moz users for quite a while and have consistently found the tool suite to be very helpful for our small marketing team! Pros: The keyword research tool, 'Keyword Explorer' provides a lot of information in a very consumable format.; Moz's 'Crawl Test' tool is great for prioritizing issues by impact. While a lot of other competitor tools will identify and report on trouble-making URLs and errors that need attention, the Moz UI and readily available resource articles and tips make it a much more complete solution; we're able to identify technical SEO errors, get assistance with prioritizing them, and find instructions for how to fix issues, all in one place.; Moz has a developed community of SEO folks, digital marketers, and internal staff that are always quick to answer questions and provide feedback. Cons: For our keyword research needs, we typically end up using other tools to supplement the data we get with Moz. Consequently, a lot of our research is compiled outside Moz.; The social media tool, FollowerWonk, was included with a Moz subscription at one point, but is no longer available. We were sad to see it go!; Tracked competitors are limited to three per campaign.

TrustRadius Rated 9/10Moz Makes SEO Easy
Moz is a very powerful tool for analyzing search traffic and measuring performance. We had a bit of a hard time setting up the campaigns within the system, but once we figured out the best way to structure the setup, it was very useful. We used the system regularly, making technical audits a part of our SEO strategy. The reports we subscribed to kept us updated and notified us of any changes we would want to know about and allowed us to monitor our campaigns without doing too much legwork. We could have utilized more of the capabilities considering how much the basic offerings helped us but didn't get far enough into the system. Pros: Technical SEO audit reports; Keyword tracking and competitive rankings; Grouping keywords into campaigns to monitor as group; Automated reporting emailed regularly Cons: Easier or more structured setup - maybe guided tour to walk through examples; More recommendations for customers. There is some degree of this, but it is helpful to have various different kinds of recommendations.; The video tutorials are helpful - I watched a lot of them, but if I had to think of something, I would recommend more of this.

I personally find a tremendous value from being apart of this Pro community! Pros: Moz has a ton of valuable data with regards to URLs indexed. I have had few issues, but when I did, they were resolved quickly and professionally.; Moz's leadership - Rand is a great leader and industry advocate!; Moz's Marketing analytic tools, both free and paid, are yet another powerful tool in the tool box! The Search Engine Marketing Team at Analog Devices uses Moz software tools. We use it for keyword and link research. We also use the On Page Grader to help our internal marketing customers better understand on page optimization best practices. Pros: In this Engineering-based environment, where all decisions need to be data driven and where everyone is an expert, ("A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home, "), any outside research source is extremely valuable in convincing the critics of your informed opinion. Moz tools and especially the On page grader are useful in convincing the nay-sayers about just how poorly optimized their pages are.; Whiteboard Friday is without equal in keeping me informed with the latest SEO industry trends. Rand Fishkin provides succinct and timely advice on search engine algorithms and the tactics and strategies to help SEOs to stay ahead of these changes.; The Moz Blog is a resource which can be used to get advice and answers to questions from experts and SEOs from similar industries or agencies. TrustRadius Rated 9/10An Indispensable Tool Set for Content Marketers and SEOs.
We use Moz to monitor traffic and search/social visibility for our clients' brands, as well as for competitive analysis to help our clients identify opportunities and prioritize online marketing activities. Particularly, Moz's Open Site Explorer link data set and reporting tool is highly valuable to our work - I use this tool daily. Moz's traffic analytics are intuitive, but I do not frequently use this piece of their tool set. Other highly valuable components of the Moz suite of tools are the Keyword Analysis tool, which is great for analyzing the level of competition for a given target keyword, the Rank Tracker tool and the Fresh Web Explorer, which is useful for tracking mentions for client and competitor brand and product names recently discovered across the web. Pros: Intuitive user interfaces - Moz has invested heavily into making their tools/reports beautiful and easy to use, and the interfaces get better all the time; Focus on actionable data - Moz started as a SEO consultancy, and this is apparent in the functionality of their tools. Most data can be exported in various formats, and overall their interfaces are kept simple with a focus on highlighting clear, actionable data (many competing tools provide overwhelming amounts of data in their reports).; Constant updates - the team at Moz constantly monitors usage of their various tools and surveys users for feedback. This data is used to prioritize enhancements. They reinvest in making the tool set better every day, and it shows. Cons: Traffic reporting - their overall traffic reporting isn't as customizable as I'd like, and I find the interface less-than-intuitive next to Google Analytics or similar analytics tools.; Too many tools - Moz has a lot of great functionality, but they've built/acquired so many tools over the years that I believe they need to reevaluate which of these tools they should continue to support. The On-Page Grader, for example, strikes me as a low-value tool that they should consider removing.; Missing rel=canonical tag support in Open Site Explorer - this tag essentially changes the link graph and passes link equity away from the page in question, and currently Open Site Explorer does not account for this (which can be misleading for marketers who aren't aware of the function/existence of this tag).

Pros: Leaders for information in the industry.; Tools are easy to use, especially when working on an offsite strategy, we find Open Site Explorer very useful.; Perfect source for beginners to advanced Search Cons: Crawl test limit is too low; More tools to analyze social channel performance; Would be great to have a tool to analyze G+ perfomance

TrustRadius Rated 10/10Fantastic Tools Supported By An Invaluable Community
I used this with every organization I've worked for but it isn't used by the entire department I'm currently working for, which is primarily paid advertising.<br>The open site explorer is extremely valuable in knowing where our competitors are featured on other websites, as a way to find placements for our products. Their mozinars solve the problem of "what are some new strategies that we can implement?". Pros: Open Site Explorer: Their index of websites provides a very detailed view of where your competitors are located on the web. You can use this information to go after similar placements.; Analytics Dashboard: A great way of measuring your current rankings and how the on-page optimization contributes to these rankings. What do you need to improve upon to increase these rankings? While rankings aren't as important these days, it will always be important to the ego of your superior.; Mozinars: Hands-down the best way to learn about the latest trends in digital marketing. You always finish with a great new strategy to propose to your superiors/clients. Cons: They need a lower cost product for those who just want the premium mozinars. It is so valuable for those starting off in the industry who don't have clients yet, but can't justify the price.

TrustRadius Rated 10/10An aMOZing resource for SEO professionals
Moz is used to evaluate the overall health of our clients' websites. We are able to monitor backlinks, internal linking, social endorsements/shares, authority metrics and so much more! By building an overall profile of a website, we are able to better and more clearly define strengths and weaknesses--if a site isn't performing well, we are able to figure out why. Pros: Open Site Explorer -- an awesome resource for building a better understanding of a site's link profile. This is definitely my most-used Moz feature and the best link analysis tool out there!; Fresh Web Explorer -- in SEO, we can forget about the importance of brand mentions. This is a recently discovered tool that I have added to my monthly reports to give my clients' a more complete picture. Cons: I wish there was a better way to sort/filter results from inbound links within Open Site Explorer. For example, I'd love to be able to filter out internal inbound links from main navigation bars.; While Open Site does provide some social signals, I wish the information was more complete. Currently, there is only a snapshot beneath "Top Pages."

TrustRadius Rated 9/10MOZ Review from Paul Bruce in Raleigh
We are currently using MOZ to track the effectiveness of our new website launch. We are also tracking our optimization and social efforts as well of those of our competition. Pros: The reports that they provide are very helpful and easy to use.; The ability to track our competition and what they are (and are NOT) doing well is extremely beneficial.; The ease of use of all of the tools and the explanations of what the tools does and how to make it work are fantastic! Cons: The only negative I would have with MOZ would be the once a week reports, could we get them daily? (Once a week is actually fine, but I had to say something!)

We are using Moz accross our entire organization for all types of online marketing initiatives, especially search engine optimization. Pros: Open site explorer - great for backlink research.; Keyword and ranking tool - great for keyword research.; SEO toolbar - great for easily accessing all of my favorite tools right while browsing the web.; The Moz Blog has great blog posts and is great for keeping up-to-date on the latest online marketing trends and updates. Cons: I would love it if the on-page grader could give you recommendations for keywords to optimize the page for.; There is a twitter analytics tool, it would be amazing if there were an analytics tool for all other social media.; A social media optimization program would be wonderful.

TrustRadius Rated 10/10An Expert Review of Moz Analytics
Moz is being used by our Marketing team to better inform the decisions we make with our website content. They use it to monitor our SEO related issues and map our social media campaigns together with Google Analytics data. This informs the types of content we place on the site from CTAs to blog posts. We also use MOZ to monitor our clients' websites for the same types of issues and data points. Pros: Website Crawl Diagnostics - finding the issues that aren't readily apparent that hurt your organic SEO results; They do a great job at graphically representing the vast amount of data that has been compiled about your site; Keyword and opportunity recommendations; Competitive Analysis Cons: The initial results take a while to compile especially if it is a large site. This can take a day to a week to get initial results.; They could streamline the reporting aspects of the crawl diagnostics report. At current you have to visit several screens to see what the recommended fixes are.; They could add LinkedIn to the Social Reach features.

TrustRadius Rated 10/10Loving Moz, need to invest more time in using the bits and pieces together.
We use Moz analytics and other tools to track how our search terms are doing on a weekly basis for SHIFT and for clients of the agency. We also employ all the other research tools attached to our Moz Pro account, including Followerwonk, Open Site Explorer and Fresh Web Explorer. Pros: Weekly reports on search engine rankings and keywords.; Insights into all areas of search, social and other marketing efforts effect on search.; I love the additional tools included in the pro account. Followerwonk helps us with Twitter reporting. Fresh Web Explorer helps us stay on top of links back to our site. Cons: More integrated approach with research tools.; I'd love to see Moz add in Google AdWords keyword and advertising competitive intelligence research.; The analytics portion of the account feels very unfinished. While it provides a great deal of surface level reporting I want the details and specifics of performance. Looking for it to replace Google Analytics at some point in the future.; I wish there were a way to separate out press release mentions from our primary domain and Moz web mentions. It's not really beneficial to us, but we're still measured by it. Same for clients.; I also wish that we could buy more keywords per client vs. having to upgrade or modify down our keywords to make room for others on the account. It's not really within our budget to increased the amount we spend on it, but we're only really lacking in keywords. Pricing structure could use an update.

It is primarily used by the marketing department, specifically myself. I report some of the main data across the company to key stakeholders, but actual daily use of the product is in my lap for now. I mainly utilize the tool for getting me the "general health" of my websites and campaigns. Keep me up to date with ranking changes and anything else that can be an indication of good or bad. TrustRadius Rated 9/10An Honest Moz Review, by a Content Marketer & SEO
SEOmoz is being used to optimize SEO campaigns for our clients, as well as integrate social media analytics for better insight into our clients social channels. It is being used in the marketing department of our company – specifically in SEO and social media. The problems SEOmoz addresses are ones of SEO progress tracking, finding next steps in technical SEO best practice implementation and ongoing reporting for our clients with their statistics. It is also used for social media tracking, and link tracking for our clients. Pros: SEOmoz does a great job of integrating social media and search marketing progress in to one easily digestible viewing format. At a glance you can see what channel of marketing is the most effective and by how much.; SEOmoz does a great job of acquiring like-minded companies like GetListed, FollowerWonk and gain partnerships with other companies such as Buffer and the like to improve synergy between products and offerings. Basically they wrap together the entire internet marketing funnel so well that they would be impossible to dismiss.; SEOmoz has a beautiful focus on community, and their massive database of information on their blog, on their faq, on their Q&A give tremendous insight into any SEO problems or strategies you might need a second opinion on, technical or topical. Cons: With the new Moz Analytics product they released in the past year there are definitely lapses in UX efficiency. This meaning that it is far harder to use than it should be, or just downright unpleasing to use sometimes. This could definitely use improvement, as the old tool was exceptionally easy to use.; SEOmoz (rebranded Moz) now seems to have a diluted view on their approach as a company towards their product. Now focusing on the entire internet marketing funnel as opposed to the SEO focus they had in the past, it seems that they have lost a bit of their niche – and are looking for a way to dig their newer, more broad niche. While they still have a massive following, this doesn't seem to be working out too well from the outside so far, they essentially need to find a very good technical way to wrap together reporting in a very deep and exciting way with data. Using Mailchimp APIs, Google APIs, Twitter & Facebook APIs etc. would help to essentially create a larger-scale reporting tool, which is essentially what "Moz Analytics" has become.; They could do a better job at defining issues in current profiles filled out by their customers and give recommendations towards improvements. Such as, "Twitter profile does not have a site link, this needs to be added" or integration and recommendations on local specific campaigns (should be created to have local focused campaigns), "Twitter profile does not have a location set, this needs to be added" and so forth.

TrustRadius Rated 7/10Moz - A good all-in-one SEO tool that has yet to reach its true potential
I work for a small marketing agency and we use it to optimize landing pages for keywords as I found its Page Grading Tool to be immensely helpful in that regard. Moz also features a local search optimization tool called Moz Local. We have clients who also need local SEO, where we configure Moz to monitor Google SERPs for countries and areas of their operation. Moz has given us fairly consistent data and reports, but know that local SEO requires a lot of manual labor and no tool can do it all by itself.<br>Moz knowledge base is huge and offers a vast amount of useful data. Moz Pro dashboard is sprinkled with tips and they are useful to novice and advanced users, as well. Rand Fishkin explains what every feature does in the videos, so you'll always learn something new while using the platform. When setting the campaign, you'll be asked to input 3 of the competitor websites and also choose which search engines you want to use. I find this feature quite nice, as you'll be able to track the progress nicely. Pros: Reporting system; Competition comparison; On-page grading system; Moz is great for reporting when you have a lot of campaigns to monitor, even though their database lacks the vastness of other SEO tools Cons: Not very clean UI; UI not responsive; Not very accurate link index

TrustRadius Rated 8/10A SEO Staple
We use Moz for research and analysis of our main business websites. The SEO mainly uses it. Moz Analytics allows us to track SERP positions for a highly targeted set of keywords. We use the suite of Moz tools and analytics helps us to build a fuller picture of the current organic landscape of search and how sites fit into that picture. The data is reliable so we're able to make more actionable conclusions from reports on real results. The Moz community and blogs is a great way to stay in conversation with other SEOS and keep abreast on current industry trends and updates. Pros: Moz Community Q&A. It's has the trust and quality that other online forums just do not have. People ask real questions and it's easy to get answers and discussions going. Because Moz moderates the discussions, there's an governance that helps to ensure that the information shared is indeed accurate, safe, and correct.; Moz's Open Site Explorer is still one of my favorite tried and true ways to research a site's backlink profile. Intuitive filter options allow me to sift through 1000s of link data with ease, spending less time data collecting and more time analyzing.; I like the On-Page grader. I use it as a go-to to review keyword optimization for Bing. It helps me evaluate keyword optimization for a given page. It's a nice to know rather than an KPI for Google optimization. However for people (smart SEOs) who optimize for both Bing and Google, it's a useful in helping identifying issues that occur on Bing and that may or may not on Google.; White Board Fridays. Blogs are great, but having someone casually present topics helps in the learning. And of course, as a SEO, I always appreciate varied and engaging content. Cons: The number of campaigns (tracked sites) you're allowed to create in Moz Analytics is rather low; Be nice to have a larger limit on the number keywords one is able to track

TrustRadius Rated 8/10MOZ - Powerful and User-Friendly SEO Suite
Our editorial staff has some experience using Moz, but I'm the primary user of the product.<br><br>Part of my role involves determining the SEO health of various sections of the site, and Moz's keyword tracking feature allows me to label keywords accordingly. This is nice, because it doesn't require me to keep any external documentation indicating which keywords are which.<br><br>I'm also responsible for addressing is technical issues with certain sections of the site. Moz provides a crawler that takes a peek at our site every week, but it's very basic and cannot receive positive instructions regarding which pages to crawl. You can, however, use robots.txt to tell the crawler which pages you want it to ignore. This wouldn't pose a problem for smaller brands (with smaller sites), but because our site is so big on content, Moz's cap of 10,000 crawled pages severely limits the usefulness of this tool for me.<br> Pros: Moz allows you to label keywords easily. This makes the data far more meaningful (and easy to organize) when you export week-over-week keyword rankings to Excel.; Moz's onpage grader is fantastic, because it runs each page through a check list of common sense SEO criteria and "grades" the page accordingly.; Moz's SERP analysis is really cool. Unlike the tool SEMRush provides, Moz doesn't just give you a breakdown of who's ranking for a given keyword--they show you how these sites stack up against each other in terms of domain authority, back links, linking domains, etc. Sometimes, meaningful patterns jump out of this information, providing us with a strategy to emulate. Cons: Moz's crawler is very limited, but I consider it an add-on. If the crawler could receive positive instructions regarding which subdirectories to crawl, I wouldn't consider the 10,000 page cap to be a big deal.; Moz's on-page grader doesn't account for synonyms or keywords that are considered semantically identical by Google. For instance, a page that's ranking for "1st grade math worksheets" receives an "F" if the; I still have yet to figure out how to permanently sync Moz with our Google Analytics account. The plugin constantly gets disabled due to an issue I have yet to resolve.

TrustRadius Rated 8/10SEOmoz is a Great Tool for Web Marketing Pros
At Mendix, we use SEOmoz primarily for the SEO rank tracking function, as well as the Link Analysis. SEOMoz is used within just our small marketing department. We're able to track where we rank for a list of our prioritized keywords, as well as where our top competitors rank for those same keywords. Historical data on rankings is stored as well so that we can see trends regarding the improvement or decline in those rankings (the rankings update once a week). Pros: Tracking rankings for targeted keywords, and comparing those rankings against competitors; Tracking inbound links; Active web forum where you can get answers for a broad range of web marketing questions Cons: There tends to be a significant lag in time for their spider to pick up new inbound links; I'd like to be able to add additional competitors to track in addition to the 3 that are allowed; Rankings are tracked down to the top 50. It would be great if rankings were tracked down to the top 100 (I subscribe to a separate service which tracks down to this level).

It also shows site load performance however not really detailed because Moz crawls site once per week. So there might be outdated links. One favorite feature that I like is the ability to look at link strength. This information allows me to vow or disavow incoming links or outer links. Pros: Link Tracker; Social Mentions; Local SEO; Moz index; SEO weather Cons: Backlink database is limited; Industry specific jargons and mentions would be helpful; Error tracking is very misleading; Duplicate pages marking each page even when it’s not duplicate. TrustRadius Rated 7/10Keyword tracking made easy!
As a company that not only builds websites for clients but builds robust digital strategies for them as well, it’s important to have an arsenal of great tools to help with reporting. We have used Moz for several years to track keywords, compare search visibility with the competition, and optimize web page content to enhance overall website SEO efforts. Pros: The keyword tracker tool is phenomenal. It’s so helpful to be able to track keyword progression over weeks and months.; If search term volume is important, Moz is great at assisting in finding high-volume keywords your company should be targeting when writing content.; The on-page grader is an awesome way to pinpoint issues on a page-by-page basis. Fixing website content can be like taking a stab in the dark, but with this tool, Moz tells you how to enhance page content every step of the way. Cons: Moz has a basic competitor analysis function, but in order to truly see how a competitor is doing, you almost need to create a new project for that competitor. The tool is excellent for single website management, but not as robust as some other tools when it comes to competitor analysis.

While those are the primary uses for us, we also use the platform for outreach targeting and site crawling and audits. Cons: Moz' offerings have continued to split and introduce additional costs - limitations in crawl budget or keyword tracking can be annoying.; On-Demand Crawl toolset is not as robust as an Ahrefs.

TrustRadius Rated 8/10Great Community, Great Tool
SEOmoz is strictly used by the SEO team at our organization. We manage many different websites so we mostly use it to it to garner data to help us drive and prioritize optimization decisions. Being data driven, we like to gather insights about how a site as a whole is doing by looking at the page crawler and also use details of pages and keywords (not so much anymore) to gather trends and find new opportunities. Pros: The Blog and Community - they're both great daily resources to stay up on top of news and happenings in the SEO world. It's also a great place to continually learn more from each other as well as share insights. It's also an excellent place for people just getting into SEO or inbound marketing to get a lot of good information.; Open Site Explorer - great for finding good links, finding bad links, and staying up to date with who is linking to you and with what.; Page Crawler - allows us to make in-depth reviews about which pages need improvement or helps us understand why certain pages are performing better or worse than others. Cons: Moz Analytics has some nice trend charts and graphs but overall seems a bit cluttered.; The limits to each package seem to be restricting our sites to getting full views of our data.; Wish there was the capability to do more specific/detailed filters in OSE so we can get a better view of external links that are not from the root domain nor from our corporate sites. I know we can export and filter but it'd be nice to do it in the tool itself.

TrustRadius Rated 8/10Moz is a useful tool for most, but less useful for experts.
Moz is being used by one individual who handles SEO/SEM efforts at the company. The toolbar is used for site stats, OSE is used for backlink research. We don't currently use the PRO version, though I have used that in the past with other companies and clients. The primary business problem it addresses is that it aids in decisions related to competitive data. Pros: The toolbar is a great way to see site stats directly in the SERPs; The ability to create campaigns within PRO is a good way to monitor competitors and keep things organized; The page grader tool helps to create a checklist for basic on-site SEO factors that need to be addressed Cons: I believe that the Open Site Explorer (OSE) tool is not as complete or up to date as it could be. Competing tools, such as ahrefs.com, do a better job of showing all the backlinks for a site, along with more historical data.; In the past, I've had issues with the Moz toolbar staying logged in to my account. It would always get logged out in between browsing sessions and was difficult to stay logged in consistently. This seems to have been resolved in the current version.

TrustRadius Rated 7/10Moz Review - Keyword Analysis and Website Diagnostics
Moz is used exclusively by the marketing department at Blue Link. We use it primarily for SEO related purposes in terms of monitoring keywords and website issues. We also frequently use the forums to find answers to our SEO questions and we follow the blog and community postings to keep up to date on new industry trends. Moz helps us manage our keywords in terms of performance to help us better target content towards keywords that need improvement and to keep us up to date on which keywords our competitors are targeting. It also helps keep up informed of any website crawl issues. Pros: Keyword Ranking - ability to consistently track keyword changes across multiple domains. It is also easy to group keywords together and see different types (for example branded vs. non-branded); Crawl Diagnostics - allows us to track and manage any website crawl errors. Moz also provides insight into the specific issues and how important they are in terms of affecting our site rank.; Open Site Explorer - gives us unlimited insight into website rankings. Allows us to determine which sites are worth contacting for possible partnerships and guest posts and how our competitors compare. Cons: The biggest issue I have with Moz is that I feel like there are several tools and areas of the site that I am not taking advantage of because I don't know what is available. I find there is not a logical flow to moving through all the tools that can help a company assess all their SEO needs in a very step-by-step process.; Some of the tools in Moz are geared towards much larger companies and unfortunately don't apply to us. They do a lot of work around branding, brand mentions, tracking branded keywords etc. but as a company without a well recognized brand name, these tools don't apply. They need more tools geared towards smaller companies.

TrustRadius Rated 8/10SEOmoz (Moz) should be in your bag of tricks, but probably not the first and only tool
SEOmoz (it's now just Moz) is mainly used by the SEO team to analyze and make decisions for technical improvements, content strategy, and link building. Mainly only the SEO department uses the product, but it's open to marketing and other areas to use. We communicate with other departments with the findings from using the tool. It addresses problems with our search indexing and ranking. Pros: The Open Site Explorer function of Moz works really well for analyzing competitor sites and finding opportunities for our own; The Moz toolbar extension (for Chrome or Firefox) is also a really good way to gauge the quality and usefulness of sites and listings in the search results; We like their community and Q&A support section for answering any advanced questions we might have; Their Fresh Web Explorer has some uses for seeing new links, although it's not as robust as others Cons: The link index isn't as fast updating or as large as competitors Majestic SEO and Ahrefs; The new Moz Analytics hasn't really lived up to the potential or hype generated before the launch; The Chrome extension can be laggy and take a few refreshes to get the data for a website; In general there is a lot of potential for better and speedier integration with all the data and acquired tools they have, but it doesn't feel too zippy or intuitive

TrustRadius Rated 8/10Highly recommend Moz as the first stop for your SEO needs
We use Moz to track a number of campaigns on our e-commerce websites. These campaigns tie in with Google Analytics to provide a one-stop dashboard that show us improvements over time in traffic, conversion, inbound links, reputation, social networking and brand mentions. The link analysis tools are critically important to help us discover and track changes in our link profile over time. Another great tool I use is Link Detox from LinkResearchTools. Pros: One stop dashboard - integrates data from Google Analytics and social networks. Highlights good/bad changes since last period.; Keyword rankings over time - you can very quickly see if your keywords are improving or falling in the SERPs. Worth the price of submission on its own!; Pages to optimize - gives you a detailed list of which pages need your attention, grading them A-F; Crawl diagnostics - quickly see a list of errors that crawlers are finding on your site, shows total pages in indexes, etc; Competitive metrics - compare your data with your top competitors so you can see how to beat them! Cons: There is always the worry that the link profile is giving "spammy links" more credibility than they deserve in the domain trust algorithm. There's really no way to compare mozrank with google's pagerank.. but it would be nice to be able to mark links as spam a la LinkResearchTools

TrustRadius Rated 8/10Moz is a good SEO tool that is welcoming to beginners
We are a SEO-heavy company serving more than 4 million users a month and competing heavily on hundreds of keywords. We used Moz for rank tracking and site scan. Pros: Running a scan on our site and tracking any broken pages or 500 errors; Tracking keywords and their rankings as per different geographies; Keeping a tab on competitors and their rankings Cons: The backlink database of MOZ when I used it looked somewhat under-powered. In some cases older links resurfaced as new.

Pros: Moz Pro Metrics are great!; Moz Pro Optimization tips and insights are very useful. Cons: Dashboard is a little bit muted with colors and design.; Keyword search is sometimes not showing the best results.

TrustRadius Rated 8/10Moz is a decent, all around SEO and content marketing tool.
Moz is used in order to do a couple of things for our company. Firstly, we are using it for competitive research purposes. Secondly, we are using it for research into new online marketing initiatives—such as content sharing and acquisition of citations. Pros: Moz is good for determining site-wide backlink profiles; Moz is useful for determining the saturation of individual anchor-text terms; Moz is useful for competitive profiling—targeted keyphrases, earned links and content Cons: When comparing the backlink data to Ahrefs or Majestic, Moz seems to provide less information; I would like to see the ability to make API calls from within microsoft power query; The reports sometimes take too long to process or load

TrustRadius Rated 8/10Moz as a supplemental tool.
We use Moz in conjunction with other Internet marketing tools for tracking, auditing, and optimizing organic and social search marketing campaigns. Pros: Competitive analysis, particularly linking.; Rank tracking for current campaign keywords.; Analyzing on page elements. Cons: Their modules don't work well together. For example: You're tracking keywords in rank tracker, and that data doesn't automatically get monitored in the on-page grader.

TrustRadius Rated 6/10Shop around. Competitors excel in intelligence and new web services are proving more innovative. Granted: top notch community and content!
Pros: Easy to use.; Helpful community and content. Cons: Not able to compare your site, in depth nor breath to many competitors.; Rank reporting is still focused on position rather than delta. With personalization and localization of search, how a site ranks is irrelevant. The changes and volume of business to a site should be foremost.; Not as intuitively organized as competitors.

TrustRadius Rated 5/10A great SEO tool for campaign management
We set up projects in Moz to track SEO progress for a few clients of ours. It's really used by me, as I'm the person overseeing the SEO work. It allows me to track some specific rankings, get some insight into on-site issues, and research other websites and keyword opportunities for our continued SEO efforts. Pros: Keyword tracking is great and reliable.; Their search volume metrics are the best in the industry.; They campaign dashboards are a nice way to track your success over time. Cons: I wish you could put in a website and return what that site ranks for, like SEMrush. But I don't think you can.; The interface has so many options, it's hard to navigate or remember where you have to go for certain things.; It's difficult to switch between rank tracking vs keyword discovery--they're in two different places that don't merge well.

TrustRadius Rated 5/10Using MOZ - From the perspective of a long time user
We use MOZ for our SEO and digital marketing efforts. As a digital marketing department, our goal is to ensure our SEO efforts are effective and using MOZ is one reason why we have had good success with SEO. As a growing digital based business, we have to keep track of where our customers are coming from in search and trying to improve our overall ranking using good SEO practices. We especially love the keyword explorer tool and Domain Authority assessment tools that help us to constantly monitor keywords and domain metrics to know if our SEO efforts are working and how we can improve them. Pros: Open Site Explorer: this tool allows you to monitor your site's backlinks and compare them to competitors. It is an indispensable tool for monitoring site's backlink performance.; Keyword Research: Moz has had one of the best keyword research tools in the business. The good thing is you can see competition scores and check what other keywords are similar to the one you are searching for.; Crawl Tool: Moz has one of the largest crawl engines available and can crawl a site and give you a report on things you can improve and enhance for good SEO practice. This tool has helped us when setting up new sites to give us a full report and checklist to follow on what things we need to work on. Cons: Crawler is not the greatest: Sure MOZ has one of the largest crawlers online but it lags behind other competitors in terms of depth and crawl frequency. If you compare to similarly priced tools, a lot of times MOZ lags behind.; MOZ is more for beginner SEOs. If you are just getting started out, MOZ' tools are ideal but if you have done SEO for months, you will find more usage and depth in other tools.

TrustRadius Rated 4/10Moz Has Some Great Tools, but Lacks Overall Cohesion
We use Moz as a supplement to other search tools because we don't feel like it provides a 'complete' tool set and some of the more recent 'Moz Analytics' features seems to have technological issues that send consistent error messages, etc. We use the Open Site Explorer tool regularly to analyze our client and competitor sites. We feel like their inbound link metrics are the best feature and that many others are lagging behind, so we use other tools that we feel do a better job. Moz is also good for its blog content and educational material. The tools to use are just not as good as some others. Pros: Moz has been and continues to be a key resource for thought leadership in the marketing industry. There are many blogs, etc. that regurgitate information, but Moz does a good job of being progressive and making sure they have reputable authors/content.; Open Site Explorer is a world class tool that provides easy navigation and accessible data. This is a strength because its ease of use can make the research process easier than other tools on the market.; Moz also does a good job of building and encouraging a sense of community, which is huge for the marketing world. Allowing users to create their own blog posts and communicate among each other alongside experts is a very empowering thing. Cons: Every time I access the new Moz Analytics it tells me my client connection with Google Analytics is broken. This message appears even after I fix it and I've gotten to the point where I don't even try anymore.; It seems like their database is often the reason for fluctuation in their data and sometimes this can confuse clients when they see fluctuations.; Sometimes you get the feeling that Moz is more about monetization of its new products than providing a strong user experience. They make it very difficult to access legacy tools that functioned better than some of the new ones.

TrustRadius Rated 3/10Need better MOZSCAPE API
It was a personal project where we used MOZ data to analyze links between different sites in various affiliate networks. Pros: The quality of the data was good. Cons: The API documentation was misleading. It was difficult to get through to their support people to actually answer my questions. At the end I was not able to get enough data out of their API and chose to use Majestic SEO data instead.
